TEXAS (KFXV) Texas has its first case of a baby born with Microcephaly as a result of the Zika virus Harris County Health Officials confirm. The mother traveled from Latin America and was tested for Zika but received inconclusive results. The infant's lab results were positive. They say mom most likely contracted the virus while pregnant and was probably infected while in Latin America. The first baby born with Zika related Microcephaly in the continental U.S. was born in New Jersey last month. This is baby number 4 in the US. Three others have been reported in Hawaii, New Jersey and Florida.
Health experts say the outlook for children born with this condition is very poor.
